Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)
LEAP was created to help individuals who are struggling to pay their energy bills.
LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance is a year-round program developed by the Ontario Energy Board to assist low-income customers with their bill payments and electricity costs. LEAP is funded through GrandBridge Energy rates and is a grant program intended to provide emergency relief to eligible low-income customers who are experiencing difficulty paying already ‘past due’ bills. This program provides a financial assistance grant of up to a maximum of $500 per year. It is not intended to provide regular or ongoing bill payment assistance.
This grant is available to low-income residents who meet program criteria. More information on LEAP.
